The setting

The House

A tuffeau stone farmhouse, a barn turned suite, a well in the middle of the courtyard, an orchard and a pool edged with lavender. Everything was restored keeping the original beams, terracotta floors and arched windows.

The Garden

Six and a half thousand square meters: apple, pear and plum trees, mirabelles and blackberries to pick, a pétanque court, tables under the branches and the pool at the far end. Treat it as your own — a picnic at noon, a game in the late afternoon, a dinner that runs into the night.

Your questions

Where exactly is the house?

EDDA Country House is at 36 rue de Chouzy, Veuzain-sur-Loire (41150), in the Loir-et-Cher. The commune was formed by the merger of Onzain and Veuves — you will often find it on a map under the name Onzain.

Is breakfast included?

Yes. It is left in your room the evening before, so you can have it whenever suits you. Everything is organic, local and seasonal: breads and cakes baked here, farm yoghurt, fresh fruit. Tell us about any dietary needs and we will adapt.

Is there a swimming pool?

Yes, an outdoor pool open from May to September, with loungers and parasols, edged with lavender. It is open to all guests of the house.

Do you welcome families and children?

Yes, in all three rooms. The Barn still suits families best: 65 m² of self-contained space, a fitted kitchen and a sofa bed on request. A cot and a small folding bed are available free of charge. Tell us the ages of your children when booking and we will prepare the room accordingly.

What time can we arrive?

Check-in is from 4pm and check-out before midday. Three days before you arrive, you receive an online check-in link with everything you need to know.

Do you accept pets?

No — we are sorry, but we cannot welcome animals in the rooms, with the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs, which are of course welcome.

Is there parking?

Yes, free parking in the courtyard. No booking is needed.
